So I now have, officially, a step-mother. She will never be called mom, not even in jest, and she's fine with that. But yes, my father married for the second time today. My mother's been, in some ways, replaced. Awkward emotional responses abound. I'll tell more as I think it out.

For the record, one more time. I am not a doormat. I'm tired of just about every woman I get interested in treating me like one. Do not call me up after most people eat dinner, tell me you're sick, tell me that all your other plans fell through but if I'd like to drive to see you, that would be 'nice'.
