I want in! This Livejournal Renaissance thing...

Well, here I am at Monkey Joes... This big crazy inflatable play land, where kids roam free, bounce, slide, and get all sugared up while their parents have the option of settling into a massaging chair or surfing the internet. Pure genius really. They even have referees-- unhappy teenage girls in black-and-white striped shirts with whistles. Break ( Read more... )

Your daughter knows Jesus! Awesome! Could you do me a favor and find out Jesus' favorite color, hobbies, and opinion of the world today?

Is Monkey Joe's a chain?

Here's Jesus is a nutshell:
Favorite color: black
Hobbies: not brushing her hair, revealing how things REALLY were in biblical times (you'd be surprised), being pouty
I'll have to ask about her current world view.

Yes, Monkey Joes is a chain. A franchise thing I think. I'll bet it would be wildly popular in your home town... Good business opportunity! And if you owned one, YOU WOULD GET TO WEAR THE PURPLE MONKEY COSTUME WHENEVER YOU WANTED!

You should see this kid too... Her parents are super-theater people (and certainly not super-Christians; very likely the opposite); so imagine Anne Hensley as a six-year-old saying with complete sincerity that she is Jesus.

We have to warn Penny about Mae... "Sometimes people who do plays don't make a big distinction between the truth and acting..."

Penny, on the other hand, reports truthfully that she is a Christian (Jesus, why not?) and a Buddhist (digs the reincarnation thing; I keep trying to push the "desire is the root of all unhappiness" but I'm not sure she's into that yet) and a Pagan (she digs nature, after all)...

Penny is totally on to something. Why not just text message google and ask them questions? They need to get on that. After all, isn't the world supposed to be at our fingertips these days?
