My shoulders hurt so much! Let me tell you a story that is bound to make you feel better. There's no better form of humour than leedvermaak, right? ;) OK, so Ellen told me that there was a Lidl in Cork where everything was heaps cheaper than in the normal supermarket. Groceries - especially fruit, meat and vegetables - are incredibly expensive here

Well, I'm going to try again today! I found another description that shows I was indeed very close to the Lidl, but I must've missed it somehow. Ellen is still in the Northern part of Ireland (she was near Donegal last I heard) so I'll either have to find it out for myself or wait until she comes back.

Pictures of my room should be taken soon... I still have so many pictures to put up, though!

Awwness, Cork is so beautiful. I love the castle, it's so pretty. I don't have the time to write a lot, but I'm happy that you're fine, even though your shoulders hurt.

I guess leedvermaak isn't really my thing, though the fact "it all went down-hill" could both be taken as a figure of speech and taken literally made me laugh :D

The savings aren't worth the discomfort in my opinion :( maybe just pay a bit more and give your shoulders a break, or buy less groceries at a time. Or if the top-secret hidden Lidl turns out being close or easy to reach, that might be the perfect solution :D

The pictures look amazing, I wish houses would have those bright colours here. Oh, if you ever run out of music over there try out pandora.com, it lets you enter an artist (Vienna Teng!) and it plays back songs of that artist as well as songs by other artists that have a similar sound to them.

Goed dat je goed bent aangekomen & in zo'n sprookjesstadje woont though - het klinkt en ziet er uit als een plekje waar jij je wel gaat kunnen vermaken!

Wow. Haha, I thought 50 cents was already quite expensive! Cork is echt superleuk. De mensen hier zijn er ook zo trots op. Ik zat gister op de bus te praten met een ouder vrouwtje, en ze vroeg of ik al eerder in Ierland was geweest. Ik zei dat ik vijf dagen in Dublin was geweest, en toen betrok haar gezicht even en zei ze iets van, "Dublin's not nearly as nice as Cork." Ik knikte maar, want ze zijn er hier duidelijk van overtuigd dat Cork eigenlijk de echte hoofdstad van Ierland is!
