Kissed the Blarney Stone

Sooo... seems like I'm a bit behind on my blog posts! Last Sunday, I went to Blarney, a village not very far from Cork. Blarney is known amongst tourists (and locals) for its castle, Blarney Castle (what an original name!). Anyway, I took the bus to Blarney and when I came there, I just followed the flow of tourists. Blarney Castle is surrounded by ( Read more... )

I need a wow smilie, lol. Seriously, everytime I watch your pics I think that it can't get any more beautiful than this. Then I see your new pics and I love them even more. The park is incredible beautiful and the castle....wow. I love the celtic cross too, I'm really fascinated by the celts.

I agree with you, the stone really looks like a witch.

Thanks for posting all your awesome pics.

That's what I keep thinking, too, when I head for the next village/city... but it just is so very beautiful here. So... romantic, really. It's a beautiful country.

Celtic history fascinates me, too. When I was in Dublin, we went to this old Abbey close to the city, and there were these huuuuge Celtic crosses. So beautiful. *sigh* I think I'm starting to like Cork better than Dublin, though. It's a friendlier, lovelier city.

No problem - it's fun posting these pics, really!

Ireland must be amazing, I can imagine how wonderful it must be to experience everything and see all of the lovely places. Reading about your experiences makes me want to go there even more. It's like when I read Innocent for the first time, that really made me want to go to St Petersburg and see all the places that she described so beautifully, lol.

Yeah, I can understand that. There are some towns that are just friendlier and nicer. Take Stockholm for an example, some parts of it are really beautiful but it's big, noisy, crowdy and the people aren't friendly at all. I prefer Gothenburg over Stockholm everyday. It's a much nicer city. I like Kalmar the most, though.

We genieten ervan!
Ook namens de rest,
Jos
