Have finally managed to become gainfully employed in a library- I'll be starting next week at the Law Library, helping to process gov docs. Not very exciting, but definitely a step in the right direction.

Haven't been up to much else since I got back to Bloomington. Just looking for a place to live in the fall and reading a bunch.

When I was in sixth grade, it could be said that I was in love with no one except perhaps Shakespeare. He's a hoot...

Also, tonight I was out with a couple of guys who spontaneously agreed that librarians are sexy. Woot! I'll introduce you when you come to visit again :)

The only book I ever threw away was a copy of Madame Bovary. I'm not sure that I hated it, or Flaubert, but I was under enormous pressure from classmates who hated it. Ah, freshman year of high school.

"Cowboys vs. Mounties"? Do I have to choose? Bestill my aching heart. I will be finding a copy of Assassination Vacation :) The quote about George Will is especially funny, being from DC and all ( ... )

I had my first crush in 6th grade. It was completely humiliating...

Actually, the book of essays is The Partly Cloudy Patriot not Assassination Vacation (although AV is also worth a read). And no, you don't have to choose a cowboy or a mountie; she's using them to illustrate differences in national character in the US v. Canada.

I thought Sarah was definitely going to UCLA? Or did I hear that wrong?

I've been missing the whole Carleton Crew something fierce, lately. Can you believe it's been 2 years since graduation? Coming to Blacksburg definitely sounds tempting...I can probably manage it in a couple of weeks. Maybe a long weekend in late June?
