Just spent the past 7 hours or so sitting in MacDonald's with the councillors, reading Daniel Hipp's book on Wilfred Owen, Ivor Gurney and Siegfried Sassoon's Poetry of Shell-shock. Merry Christmas.

Dreams have been strange and vivid... just two days ago, I dreamt Cookie (my JC Econs tutor) held me by the arms and guided/dropped me down out of a window, with some mention of the Coase Theorem.

So in typical fashion, the Cougars' latest project is a last-minute Christmas Eve dinner which might not even materialize, depending on the response. If it does come through, we'll be cooking what we had in NZ -- roast lamb and roasted vegetables. (Dandan on MSN: Roasted Kumarrans!) And of course, wine.

I really LIKE Trader Joe's.

We went down to get those Cheese twist snacks, but they were out of them, so I loaded on the Cheese puffs. I'm bringing five bags home with me.

Anyone who's a lit major, well, anyone in general, should watch Stranger than Fiction. The story was executed with sweet subtlety, much more than I had initially imagined (hadn't heard of the film till I came here), the characters were endearing (particularly Dustin Hoffman's Lit Prof) and the ending was heart-warmingly satisfying.
