wow... i'll pray that everything comes back non-cancerous and keep you in thoughts through the process.

is it a lipoma? if so, i might have a suggestion to consider...

I don't know. The 90 seconds I spoke with the doctor my hands were shaking really badly and I was frantically fumbling around for a pen to write down the name and number of the surgeon. I don't remember him saying lipoma but I definitely might have missed something.

i'll just say this one thing... if it is a lipoma, you might consider a consult from a plastic/cosmetic surgeon. i ran into a friend who had a similar experience as i did, but he went to a cosmetic surgeon. they did the surgery and left him with NO scar whatsoever. i, however, have a two inch gash across my right flank. and now, if i want to take care of hiding the scar, they'll have to open it back up and stitch it up 'cosmetically' -- which i can only guess involves rouge and some eyeliner.

anyway, just a thought. hoping things go well and that this turns out to be a once in a lifetime thing...
