As always, a spectacular home run!!!! What a wonderful second installment!!! The conversation between Townsend and House is vivid, entertaining - and plausible (I am howling at the image of House working on a garbage disposal unit), and the scene between Cuddy, Blythe and Thomas is *perfect*. I particularly admire the way you handle internal dialogue - it always advances the story line brilliantly. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...and it would be even more wonderful if we don't have to wait another three weeks for the next chapter ;-)
Thanks for hanging and letting me know you liked it. I'm sorry about the delay in updating; we had some unexpected life crap to deal with. We're on the mend, now, and I have the next two chapters outlined.
Wonderful scenes in this one; very clever and creative- House under the sink, Cuddy placing herself between House and his parents- that make for delightful visuals while reading. And, as always, the dialogue was spot on perfect. While I'm sure Blythe can hold her own, she'd better be careful testing Cuddy. Thomas had it right from the jump: Cuddy's pretty scary, when she needs to be.
I was suffering from severe sharkverse withdrawal but it was well worth the wait. (Sorry about your real life difficulties-it does tend to intrude, doesn't it?)
Blythe is a worthy mother of her son; dry to the point of combustion in her exchanges with Cuddy. House is a lucky man to have two such stout defenders, there's just the mutual antagonism to be got over.
April continues to be awesome. Even House is impressed! Another great chapter to add to your canon.
I may have said this before, but no one on this show seems to have the slightest grip on the concept of taking personal responsibility for their own behavior. It's stunning

YEA! More sharkverse. Just what I wanted to see this am.
“Appliances, like annoying relatives, thrive on hatred." “Wow, that explains why my grandmother outlived the cat and our washing machine. Love April.
House doing a runner on Cuddy, I'm sure her texts were deservedly over the top. Blythe is the Mother-in-law from hell~she may need to get bitch slapped by Cuddy.
Blythe takes a very different approach than Arlene, but she's just as intense. Cuddy is used to having the outright aggression, and may have to make some adjustments to counter the smooth, sweet delivery. I touched on this in the first chapter: fencing? or boxing? And is there a difference between boxing and beating, between fencing and stabbing?
