with no 'ships AT ALL. I mean, no romantic/sexual relationships among the main characters, and no OCs (or canon characters written so far OOC that they seem to be completely new people) parachuting into House's life and rescuing him from Cuddy and/or Wilson or saving him from a lifetime of loneliness and misery. It's gen and long and plotty, and I remember really enjoying it when I first joined the fandom.

Aw, thanks hon, but that one is really all about post House/Cuddy and future/present House/Wilson.

On the other hand, "Three Months" is gen, and a decent read if one doesn't mind the dying.

I love a good gen fic. Most of my favorites feature the House-Wilson friendship, but I'll see what I can think of that's more House-oriented than Wilson-oriented and try for plot. I have a very hard time finding well-plotted fics in any fandom, though.

Some authors have fic indexes on their LJs, and you can glance through them and see what's gen and what isn't, and whether the description appeals to you or not.
