So I've been here in Australia for over three months now. On the whole I'd say I like it, however it's very hard having no friends, which I don't, and that is only exasperated by the fact that there's a 17 hour time difference. 12th Street Beach is by far the best beach in Chicago, and it's still a decent secret. I found it by accident last year, and I'm addicted to it. All other beaches are dead to me (except North Street and Montrose since I have to go there for work.) It's small and pretty quiet, but not too far away. That would be a pretty cheap fare for one-way, but it's freaking ROUND TRIP!!!
