So the Davinci was much better than the critics gave it credit for. It had so much to live up to that I think they were overly critical for its own sake. I think that the movie was actually much smarter and much more aware of its own identity than the page-turning novel. Everyone MUST see Art School Confidential. It is absolutely amazing. Both hilarious and deeply strange and dark at the same time. It starts out with like American Pie humour but takes on a much deeper and complex meaning with its twisted ending.
