Chillin' on da stoop [open to spinsaweb]

May 02, 2007 22:58

Since his LOLing into a teenager, Doc's taken to spending a bit of time every day on the stoop. Seeing who comes and goes, what they have to say about themselves by their behavior.
There's no way to actually live in the world if you don't actually go out into it.

Despite the lovely weather, this youngish man approaching Doc's post of choice is apparently quite cold - he's bundled up in a sweater with raised hood, chin tucked down, not making eye contact with the afternoon crowds around him, hands stuffed in his pockets.

He does slow down in front of Dr. Strange's domicile, though. "Doc, that's never going to work without the hat," he chuckles.

"Hmmmn? Hello, Peter. How's your afternoon?" Because, of course, it's afternoon.

"Hmmm, not so loud - but, well, the usual." He shrugs. "All things considered, you know ..."

Peter scoots his butt up onto the stone bannister and leans back, looking sidelong at Doc. "How about you? Been raking it in with your magic tricks?"

"To gauge off of what I've learned today, Yo La Tengo are dated as hell. I don't know who they are. And yes- all things considered, I've kept myself quite comfortably of late. Would you like to come in, have a cup of tea?" Doc asks, getting to his feet.
