Ughhh it was sooo hot and humid today. NYU sent out an email saying that we should be conseving energy and whatnot, and added that they have cooling stations for the elderly and other reisdents of the neightborhood. Staten IslandI had intended to get up at 8 am, eat breakfast, then taking the 9 am ferry to Staten Island. I felt like such a hipster as I finally went into Trader Joe's new Union Square location at Palladium. They are cheap with a large selection of food, and I like the cash registers with bells and lax dress code.

Today New York felt like the set of a horror film, it was raining for most of the day but then walking around it was all misty and foggy. I woke up a little late because it was pitch black out, then when I got out of the shower it was bright and sunny.
