Very good. Ennis's feelings come through so achingly, and there's a drop of hope, a little promise there at the end. Well done.

Thank for writing this story which spread Ennis' longing for Jack both in vivid and lively.
I like those memories of Ennis conjuring up toward jack, and it truly poured out the grief of Ennis and the pain he endured to protect someone he loves is real sad.
They all struggled terribly with the pain and loneliness of separating from each other.
It really stirred the heart to see them both lived in quiet misery.

Thanks, Steve, for these October stories. I found the J.D. and Dale chapters this evening and then the next two stand alone stories. I've enjoyed reading them immensely
