I'm doing overtime at work tomorrow. God knows why. Well, I know *why* - it's because I'll get double time for doing it, and more money always helps. It's my birthday today - pretty low key, to be honest. I've done the celebrations thing already, so today was just for getting some money (in lieu of presents, for as I explained before, I had no earthly clue what I wanted for my birthday) and lounging about the house as I had a day off. Turns out I was right not to have high hopes for that promotion at work, because I didn't get it. Again.

It's a shame, because it would have been a nice increase on my salary, but it's still annoying to be told that I'm not right for a job that I *know* I can do. I thought the interview went quite well too. Oh well, at least the guy that got it ( Read more... )
