Eleven steals all the scenes, doesn't he? I don't know why I've suddenly noticed this now, but whatever was happening in the scene before he's there, it all quickly gets diverted into what Eleven's doing afterwards.

I was rather amused by the Anglepoise lamp edict, where apparently in 1949, a particularly moralistic head of the Variety Department at the Beeb forbade writing from being done under the sole illumination of a desk lamp.
