The English language ALREADY HAS a word to describe the action of making a present of something to someone: the word is TO GIVE. The object of this verb is a GIFT. The word in new usage, "gifted," as in the past tense of "to gift" something (i.e., a bastard cousin of the beautiful "make a gift of") is SO ANNOYING ( Read more... ) -
