I am resurrecting this journal that I started writing in, in 2001, and stopped, in 2006. I initially started this journal to get connected with people while I was struggling to find friends and a support network my first year of college. I especially struggled with being able to accept myself as a human being, because I am gay and was in the closet ( Read more... )

Hey Kevin! A little surprised to see a post by you - as you can probably see, I don't post much (really at all) anymore, but I lurk.

I FINALLY got myself into a big 4 firm, so I am now in E&Y's assurance services. Took me three years to make the transition, but it seems to have been worth it.

Hope all's well with you and life's been treating you well. I can't really complain here, I've been fairly blessed with it all.

Hey! I'm not sure if you knew, but I've worked in E&Y's tax practice for almost 1 1/3 years now. It really is a great company. Although, last week I wanted to jump out a window, but generally things are good.

Glad to see you made it in. Just shows that it's not all the 4.0's who make it into Big Four. I sure as hell didn't have a 4.0, but I worked hard, and tried my best. I think they saw that.

I thought you died or something. But seriously, it's good to hear you're doing well. Are you still in Michigan? As for me, I'm well and also I'm pregnant!!! The little guy/girl is due in February.

I'm still in Michigan, currently living in Oak Park (right by downtown Ferndale). I live with my partner James of 3 1/2 years. Congratulations on being pregnant, that has to be so exciting. What else is new?
