Last night I heard the busy tone on the other end after you put down the phone and felt an extreme, almost tangible emotion.

On most days, we are either happy or unhappy.

When in either state, whatever chaos or peace you're going through, I think what I like the most is that there's a certain stability. You can just sit there and bask in it.

It's the transition in between states that bothers me. The gray area in between being okay and not okay.
