I am posting from my very own house.  That's right folks, house--not apartment!  Arthur and I are exhausted and there are still about five million things we need to do before the house is ready to accommodate our getting ready for work in the morning, but I am very happy, and I'm pretty sure that's not just the paint fumes talking.  :)

The closing date (when you actually take possession of the house) was supposed to be Friday, but due to the title company taking longer than expected, that plan was unfortunately nixed.  Best case scenario is a Tuesday closing date now, but even that's not been confirmed yet.  Losing this whole weekend does put a bit of a crunch on the time we ( Read more... )

The offer we put in on a house was accepted.  It appears that a favorable inspection and clean title search are all that stand between us and a house...or potential homelessness...come February.  We have some pictures of it posted at Arthur's picassa site if you're interested.  

I pet and fed a dolphin today.  The benefits of living in the theme park capitol of the world!
 

Regardless of how frustrated I get over the house hunt, I can't help but laugh at a headline like this:
