Life has gone bananas!

For the last 6 weeks or so, I haven't been able to sleep.  When I say that, I don't mean that I've been awake nonstop since then; I just mean that going to bed each night is a struggle to get comfortable and relax, and that I wake up the next morning feeling as though I haven't slept at all.  I am now used to living with gritty eyes.  Not my ( Read more... )

X will happily introduce you to some sleep-inducing wines...although I find that the groggyness the next day is even worse than sleeplessness.

I've had some good luck with Advil PM and the Alleve that's for bedtime. I sometimes take the Advil PM for muscle aches at bedtime and not only sleep, but actually wake up refreshed.

I'm sure he would, at that! Don't know if wine or other alcohol is the way to go for me, but it's always in the background as an option.

Speaking of X, where did you and he disappear to? Have you fallen off the planet? We miss you, come back!

I'm relieved to hear that it was okay for you to take that many Aleve. I was pretty shocked to hear you'd taken that much. But I can relate to not sleeping well; I haven't had a good night's sleep in quite a while, either. Worse, I keep waking at 5 AM whether I want to or not.

At least you're being productive. Sometimes I just lay there trying to sleep; it would probably be better if I did something during that non-sleeping time. Well, maybe WoW isn't totally productive, but you know what I mean. ;)

It's hard to know which to prefer - enough sleep but of a low quality, or too little sleep but of a very high quality. I guess the only solution for us is to lie down at 8pm or something ridiculous like that and just not get up no matter what until 5 or 6 am. Hah. Not going to happen from me, how about you?
