Birthday weekend ... And no plans
Working the night shift this week. Sunday will be my birthday but unfortunately I'll be working 1900-0700 that day. However I should be awake by about 1500 on both days if any kind people want to buy me a coffee.

From the past.
A day late for National Coming Out Day. This is me in 1994. Nearly 5 years after I had come out. This was the night we lost the 'Age of Consent' vote to equalise gay make consent with everyone else.

Feeling very angry at the EHRC
On the same day in history that the Wolfenden Report was published, that lead eventually to the decriminalisation of male homosexuality in England & Wales. I am trying to see the irony and failing to find it that 4 so called "Christians" (those inverted commas are very intentional) are going to the European Court of Human Rights today to claim ( Read more... ) -

Holidays and hospital appointments.
I go on leave from September 6th till September 23rd. Originally I'd made no plans as I had a hospital appointment at the Chest clinic for my annual sleep apnea assessment on the 17th. I got home from work to a letter changing my appointment to October 22nd. So I've got just over two weeks off but no plans.

Where would you go?
So I have 2 weeks leave starting from September 9th and back to work at 1600hrs on the 24th. I have a hospital appointment on the 17th in London at 0930hrs. So I can't go away for the full fortnight. I'd have normally popped up to Scotland but my Dad will be away himself on vacation in Florida. So what to do with it ( Read more... ) -
Possible plans for my Fortieth birthday
I know it is a little way away (though not quite as far away as I might wish) October 2013 will see me turning 40. Who knew I'd live this long?
So I am in the process of trying to beg, borrow and swap annual leave dates so I can have between 4 to 6 weeks off over the October. If I am successful I am debating what to do with the time. Maybe start ( Read more... )
