[Germany entered the reception room looking forward to congratulating Miss Adler on an impeccable performance, and overall in a very good mood. It was nice, very nice, to see the work of one of his composers performed here in this very foreign place with so much enthusiasm and attention to detail. And, as Italy actually enjoyed such occasions and behaved properly at them, spending the evening out with him had just made his good mood even better.]

[Italy here is the human(?) vacuum cleaner when it comes to food!]

[So if/when Germany holds up another bite of deliciousness, Italy's just gonna inhale it!]

[...Literally]

[This is basically the perfect evening; an enthusiastically and well-performed opera, spending quality time with Italy, and delicious food.]

[He is so pleased right now, practically overflowing with emotions, an almost unheard of urge to display his feelings in the form of physical affection is pushing forth--!]

[And so, he raises a hand--!]

[--And pats Italy on the head.]

[Like a dog.]

[Life is good.]

[Noticing Germany making his way towards her, Irene comes to meet him half-way. And she smiles at how the atmosphere around him is... so positive.]

Welcome, herr Germany. You look quite pleased this evening.

[[If only she knew how rare...]]

Thank you. [She moves to kiss him on the cheek.] I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

[A kiss on the cheek from a beautiful woman? ...That's rather nice, actually.]

And yourself? If I may ask, what do you think?

Of the performance? [She is rather pleased to be asked. Not many do.]
The piece itself is lovely. It was being penned the year I was ...drawn here, so to speak. So it quite contemporary to me. This company takes great care in their productions, and in choosing the best performers.

[mild surprise!]

So long ago? You seem to have adjusted to life here remarkably well. And I can see the care taken in putting this production together. I hope to experience many like it in the future.

[She smiles self-assuredly.]

Thank you. Adaptability is one of my strong points, you could say.

It will be a pleasure to have you attend again. It is impossible to say when we might have another play of German origin, but I hope that you will find other productions just as interesting.

It certainly seems to be.

And I hope to come back often, regardless of a production's origin.

Way to distract him with a drink. That won't end badly at all. :3 missthewoman December 21 2011, 05:37:57 UTC
[Taking two champaign glasses from a passing server, she hands one to him and raises hers in the gesture of a toast.]

We look forward to your patronage, and I personally look forward to seeing you here again.

It won't! It's just champagne. =P mysecrethobby December 22 2011, 01:44:41 UTC
[He accepts the glass and returns the gesture, lightly tapping the lip of his glass to hers]

And I look forward to returning.
