dood, you better get used to it. i've been pulling that schtick for several years now, and the glances do not go away. i can only get three girls not to look at me and want me to die. my suggestion is to start wearing directly contrasting articles of clothing. personally, i wear flannel and fleece mittens. i'd suggest trying it.
