Modern swimwear for women has a problem: it is Too Tight and Too Skimpy. Don't get me wrong; I love the beauty of the human form, and feel that there is no shame in artfully displaying the bodies we are carting around. I think form-fitting and/or creatively skimpy swimsuits can be lovely and lots of fun to wear, but...there are Problems. Three ( Read more... )

1) the sun it burnsss us Preciousss...and sunblock is greasy, expensive, inconvenient, wears off, destroys fabric, AND is bad for the environment (it kills coral polyps)

I misread that at first as the *SUN* being bad for the environment, and I had a sarcastic comment all geared up about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide... never mind :)

Hah! I could have said that, I certainly could have. My brain cells don't all show up for work on time even on the best of days. Still, it's a point -- the Sun *can* be bad for the environment, if it's pouring too much UV into an environment entirely evolved around having less, but I'm sure the environment would quickly adjust to the change. Unlike humans. Seriously, light-skinned people should NOT be this close to the Equator! Or perhaps it's just me and my CON 5. Miss you guys very much!
