The clocks have not returned. I bought the world's cheapest pocket watch with a chain, to wear to work. =D Unfortunately, the bosses are also taking away our calculator, pens and paper, and other stuff we don't strictly speaking need to do our job, we just need it to keep our job from being terminally annoying. Yesterday every clock visible from our work station had gone missing. This is a problem since we have to clock out exactly on time or else, and aren't allowed to carry our phones with us, also or else. I did indeed go to the doctor since Mom was getting nervous from all the panic I was having. The doctor said it was nothing, which I knew already, and the panic slowly drained away leaving me back at normal rationality levels. Which is nice, except that giving in to the compulsions makes them stronger and makes it more likely my brain will pull ( Read more... )

In the middle of me having panic and hysterical crying and whatnot... my beloved Grandpop fell and broke his leg. He's 93 and has major bone cancer like, everywhere, which was just diagnosed a few weeks ago and... well, I'm not sure you come back from breaking your leg when you have bone cancer. These last few weeks have not been fun. I have bulgy purple veins in my legs which hurt but can be alleviated by the wearing of the magic stockings so that's ok. It's a common problem for people whose job involves standing and lifting heavy things, as mine does.
