Mum at Faerie Festival
So, again like last year, my mom is going to be playing music as one of the strolling performers (Strings on Wings) at Faerie Festival. They're scheduled for the Sunshine Stage at 3:30 on Friday. What fun is it being cool if you can't wear a sombrero?
I just quit my current full-time job (Land Surveying) on Friday for a job that'll provide me with almost 9,000 more a year, company car, much better college reimbursement, no need to work outside anymore, and a host of other smaller benefits. It's also a job I'll enjoy much more than Surveying.

Had a really fun time this holiday week-middle.
All sorts of fun happenings and seeing people I hadn't seen in quite a while. Music, good liquor, sitting in front of a fire, making fire, Transformers, and great food.

Buying new glasses.
I'm planning to get a pair of prescription sunglasses for this summer. I'm considering transition-type lenses (change with sunlight), but I've heard of problems with them eventually sticking at dark. They also don't get as dark as a good pair of sunglasses and supposedly stay clear when you're driving. On the plus side, I'd only be carrying one ( Read more... )
