It takes time for the loose stuff to tighten up. You (and I) have stretched out our skin. I bet there's less fat there than you think and more skin. Keep up the good work and wait, be patient, you are young and your skin is resilient but it will take time to take up the slack. I'm a bit over the hill for my skin to recover. And it is just bags of skin (how unpleasant is that). If I was more vain and had money I'd consider a tummy tuck to get rid of all that. As it is I'll probably not lose any more clothing sizes and I'm ok with that. However I hate seeing that paunch when I do yoga.
Talk to the 20/20 doc and see what he/she says. You look awesome by the way. And you are an inspiration to others. Anon
Excess skin may indeed be the part of problem. Formerly fat people all have this problem to one degree or another. Jarred never talks about this in his subway commercials. The link below is an extreme case but the only real solution when you have this much is surgery. If I ever manage to loose it, this is the boat I will be in. You were never that big so it may tighten up on it's own. Well done on dropping the 45.
Some of this may also be a bit of body dysmorphia at work.
I started running and working out seriously last June. I too have lost about 45 pounds, about 1/4 of my former body weight, and am at a level of physical conditioning I've never had in my life. 5 mile runs are what I do on my days off, and I'm leaving to go swim a mile as soon as I finish this post. People in a position to know tell me that I look as good as I've ever done. If I lose much more weight I'm going to be back to where I was in college, and nobody wants to see that skinny wretch again.
And I still look at myself in the morning and think I see a bicycle tire of fat around my midsection
