~Fifteenth Act~

Jan 08, 2010 10:44

It's actually a refreshing change for me, to be the calm and collected one while those around me scarmble about like headless chickens looking for the hen house. At this stage in my life, there is a certain futility in the mindless panicking associated with matters out of your own control. Should one be able to control a situation and it induces ( Read more... )

They can look as much as they want, darling, but unlike those women, I know who you're going home with after the flirting is said and done~

Of course Luxord is going to be fine. He's just as stubborn as you are. Neither of you would allow something as ordinary as a bullet to take you out. It's a blaze of glory or nothing, hmm?

Since when did you call me 'darling'? I thought those kinds of cute little pet names weren't your cup of tea...

Naturally, my dear. Men like us have to go out in a flaming ball of glory and honour, not to a cowardly hitman on a city street. No honour in that death.

I'm tired and the hospital smell is starting to make my brain do weird things. Or maybe I'm just in a silly mood today... take your pick...

I can picture the 'flaming ball' part because knowing you, you'll take the Strahl out with you...

You should go home. Silliness doesn't suit you, dear, it's the business of a hume to be a little nutty.

Of course! My beloved ship will go down in honour with me!

I'm glad Luxord is doing better, that's a good sign that he's going to make a full recovery, yeah? :)

Asking you because I know that you'll know this~ When are the auditions for the next play? Namine is wanting to try out for it and she needs time to prepare something! Help us, Balthier~

As for the rumor mill, I can help with two of those. The last two you mentioned, actually... I, uh, dated Zidane for a while... it's over now, but... yeah, there you go..

Riku... I don't know where he was or what he was doing or who did it... but I guess they thought he was dead and they buried him in a coffin in a grave in the woods. Namine had a dream and thanks to her we were able to find him... They won't let anyone see him...

You're at the hospital right? I'm here outside of Riku's room... if I came to find you could I steal a hug or two? I've missed you! <3

Was there ever a doubt that he wouldn't make a recovery? :)

The next play? Well, Chicago finishes its run around the first week of February and auditions for the next production will follow at the start of March. We were given a sneak preview of what we'd be doing next, and it appears to be a stage adaptation of the movie "Hook". I already know what role I'm auditioning for ( ... )

I've been behind on things here at TTU as well... just heard about Luxord a few hours ago when I finally caught up on journals. He's going to be fine! Just have to give him a chance to recover.

I'll have to come see you in Chicago! Have to go support the leading man, don't I~? March? I'll let her know that she has plenty of time to decide if she's actually going to audition or not! The role for you...? Hmm, could you possibly be auditioning for the role of Hook~? :P ( ... )

I never doubted that he'd be fine. Never once. He's not to die so simply, much like myself~

I expect to see you in the front row on opening night! Isn't that what a friend does for another friend~? And yes, you hit the nail right on the head! I can't be the hero all the time, I should have the chance to play the classic villain as well~ And he's such a suave villain!

So... sounds like there was a reason for you to not want to be with this young man. A womaniser, you say? Constantly surrounded by a harem? I can see how that would and could cause you to feel uneasy, having been that man once myself. I'm sure there are other reasons as well, from what you're telling me.

Taking him out Against Medical Advice will do him more harm than good... let him try and get some rest in a safe place before taking him home. Has he said anything about his experience? Told anyone what got him buried?

Grumpy? Who's that?

You had every right to be hysterical, my dear woman. Someone you love and cherish was badly hurt, but I know Luxord. He'd never leave you so suddenly. It's just a minor set-back on the road of your life together.

Don't feel disheartened ever. You have so much support in this world, and I will always lead that supporting herd :)

Aww, Balthier, it doesn't make you sound cold at all! Well, maybe to those who don't know you very well, and I admit I'm in that group but I do know you well enough to know that you don't spaz out when there's even a glimmer of hope left! That's actually something I learned over the past couple months- if Fran and Balthier aren't freaking out, then don't worry! And if they DO freak out, make sure you have your will ready 'cause the whole place is going under! :P

Hey, you wouldn't be coming to pay Luxord a visit any time soon, huh? If you are, mind stopping by my room first and taking me with you? I wish to give him hugs of healing and as a by-product, steal his warmth!

Oh, come off it, you old wanker. You were worried about me, I saw it in your eyes. What is the leading man without his foil?

However, I do thank you for being there for the family when they needed reassurance. If Father's hair were not white previously, I'm sure it would have turned so with the stress he went through.

Yes, praytell, what is the gossip surrounding these parts? I've been somewhat preoccupied for a while and haven't had the chance to hear what's going on.

The next time you visit or have the chance, would you mind sneaking me some proper, decent food? I swear, your cooking is better than this...whatever it's supposed to be.
