We started benching lower weights (like 50 lbs) and whatnot to get warmed up, but I think I could've had a higher max if I would've warmed up with cardio and then just hit it hard. I don't have a lot of muscle endurance, eheh, so I usually can do one set of reps and then have to go do some other exercise and come back a little later.

But I'm pretty happy with 180. I'm a puss compared to football players tho, part of the draft combine is doing reps of 225 (also it's part of the Pro Bowl skills challenge). Larry Allen (who used to be with the Cowboys, I forget where he is now, 49ers or something I think) did 43 reps, which is cuh-razy.

What's funny is that a QB this year (Jay Cutler) did more reps than some of the offensive linemen. :x

hrm
in high school I could rep 225, like 3 sets of 10 or so
which is nowhere near one set of 43
but anyway, 225 wasn't much considering I was like 260
I remember Mr Garner or someone saying to be truly strong or whatever, you had to squat twice your weight, and bench one and a half
I wish I could bench 390 HEH

Yeah, and deads were like 3-4x the body weight, right? That seems about right. I could do the squatting and the deads, but when I was in HS all my strength was in my legs. Now I'm at least a little more balanced.
