So I've been helping out with this graduate student seminar, and my gawd... there are a lot of grad students this year.  I know we lost a bunch last year (either through graduation or because they didn't pass the qualifier/exam), but seriously...  There's like 20 something of them.  There's so many, that Tim might not be able to TA this semester/ ( Read more... )

Last night I went up to Omaha with Tim to be "guest players" in Tim's brother's D&D 3.5 game.  I got to play an absentee's character and Tim got to play one of the tag-along NPC guys.  They're game was pretty un-serious, so it threw me out of the loop.  There was a lot of low-fantasy meta-gaming...  but oh well.  It was a good time ( Read more... )
