Even I understand the necessity of war, and I'm a robot. Still, I guess humans want peace? Even if they go about it in completely stupid ways.

Hm.

A good strategist would know that if you want peace, you must prepare for war. Even this Celestial Being group inexplicably believes they have some greater goal to fight for by crushing skirmishes with brute force.

However, they are just as fallible as anyone else in this environment.

Makes sense, but I never focused on strategy much. I just did. I don't think I can bring peace to this place. It's too crazy.

But I guess, as long as I can help my brother out and keep him from getting in too much trouble, that's all that matters, right?

Well, what's the fun of life without the occasional bout of happy mindless bloodshed?! Heh heh heh.

... There is nothing mindless or happy about bloodshed.

Eh, kill a few hundred goblins here, a few thousand hobgoblins there...

It's all in good fun, really. But that was home. Now I got a restaurant to focus on running.

Meaningful and necessary warfare? What kind of world do you live in where war is necessary?

A real one.

A bad one, if you ask me.

I can't argue its niceness - but one can hardly expect the reality of these matters to be pleasant ( ... )

I'm with you, sir. For slightly different reasons, but... yes, I won't be, either.

... Did you just call me 'sir'?

Understandable, MakubeX.

May I inquire as to your reasons, if they're not too personal?

You're still my superior in the chain of command within ShuRa.

Mostly a worry that, once they've eradicated those they consider threats, they'll go after lesser and lesser offenses and end up controlling the innocents through fear.

I daresay, given the tone of their announcement, they are already taking a rather aggressive stance against the general public. And... agreed. What many fail to understand is that, where military strategy and power is concerned, there is a point of success after which one is doomed to failure. They have already generated more than enough hostility, and there is no secrecy to hide behind, here. We are a small community. The truth always emerges, in the end.

It has been felt by myself, and it has been felt by Kurama. There are always repercussions here, and their fascism will generate terrorism amongst discontent civilians.

I can not help but find myself in agreement with you.

Battle is not pretty. It is rarely desired. But there are times when it is necessary, whether for the furthering of a cause, or for the defense of an ideal, or even for reasons as trite as simple greed or power lust.

They are still reasons, and just as worthy in one man's eyes as another.

Agreed, and which is precisely as I told their representative.

The wars to reclaim the black continent in my Queen's name... they were necessary, to restore balance to the world, lest it be consumed in utter light and destroyed.

I would not simply allow some group of well-meaning men with weapons think they have the right to decide mine own or any other man's fate.

The entire concept is not only folly and blasphemy... it is little more than slavery to their ideals, forcing me to try and see as they wish. It is no better than any other slavemaster.
