NJ trip

I went to NJ a couple weeks back to visit my grandmother and uncle. It's a thirteen or so hour trip one way from where we live, but luckily we have some audiobooks. We listened to Ender's Game and I was very impressed with the story! It made me so angry and sympathetic for the characters while the visuals the writer created with his words were ( Read more... )

*hugs* My grandmother is also suffering from Alzheimer's, though she's not as far along as your grandmother from the sounds of things. We recently started her on one of the newer meds and it has at least relieved the anxiety from what I understand. Still... there are times when I swear someone else, someone with a not-nice sense of humor and maliciousness would get behind her brain and start toying with my folks and with me. She's currently with my uncle and aunt so I've not seen her recently... I've heard she's doing a little better (though she's fallen a couple of times which is worrisome as well).

I'm sorry about your Grandma. Nature really is a jerk sometimes. My Grandpa had Alzheimer's before he died and it too was hard to watch. I hope your Grandma never forgets you completely.

It's awesome that you liked Ender's Game, it's truly classic!
