So, yeah, this will be a strange way to start off the new year, but I guess everyone has to start fresh, including those who are cleaning out their link pages. A link trade to Red String is being revoked for religious reasons because my story has lesbians ( Read more... )

I always found it odd that there is such dislike toward homosexuality (one that I do understand, as I used to find homosexuality disturbing and unnerving - fortunately I had some good friends help me realize that my fears were unfounded and helped me grow as a result... and become a better person, I believe) on strictly religious grounds. The portion of the Bible which is "anti-gay" is in the same area as not eating shellfish or other dietary concerns. Or in other words, the eating of pork and shellfish is as great of a "sin" as being homosexual.

In short, it's silliness. I've long enjoyed Red String and enjoy its story of youthful love that even transcends gender. If they can't accept it? Then it is their loss. Their loss of advertising potential, and their loss of our respect.

Take care, Gina. I look forward to seeing you at Anime Boston. =^-^=

Aw, that sucks. I just don't get people... But think, it's probably better this way, you wouldn't want any hate mail from the people that may be into the same philosophies as the person who turned you down...

Gina, I have been enjoying Red String and think it's wonderful that there is a story like this on the web which is all at once romantic, open and smart (somehow, this is a rare combination..). It is a mystery to me why people choose to follow a doctrine - whichever it may be - which leads them to do the exact opposite of what the said doctrine preaches (or even simply, the opposite of good sense). I admire your attitude towards such reactions - keep up the great work and the tolerant outlook towards short-sighted opinions.
