Correct, it is a forum in which I am expected to express my views and opinions and that's exactly what I did. I expressed my opinion on your view of mainstream bands. I don't think I was very hypocritical at all, nor do I understand how you, someone preaching about expressing opinions freely can come right out and call me an idiot for expressing it. THAT is hypocritical. I support mainstream bands, if I think they make good music, and I support underground bands, if I think they make good music. I think it's absurd to judge a band's music based upon their level of success as opposed to the music itself. However, you can do whatever you like, you can judge a band however you like, and I'll probably rant about your views on successful bands every time you do, but that's fine, it's the purpose of a forum like this. One thing's for sure, if I was in a band, regardless of my level of success, I wouldn't want someone with your types of views on 'good music' as a fan.

Alrighty sounds good. Discussion though, not lets take shots at mike time. Firstly I was not calling you hypocritical, in my book, you are a really cool guy. I was calling other people hypocritical, people who dont like it when i say shit about their music or them, but they will go to the mall, or somewhere at school, and make fun of people for how they dress, act, talk, etc. They try to hard to be "punk" and to categorize themself.

Back to the point. Its not the mainstream music that bothers me, because yes, if I were in a band i would love to be making millions of dollars and have thousands of fans. Its the kids that like one song from a band and go around talking about the band only after hearing one song. They pretend to like bands/songs so they can be categorized punk, emo, whatever you want. And things shouldn't be like that. Im going to get pizza, post here and ill be back.
