Men are allowed to cry...it's the upbringing and society that forces that ideal upon the male population. Females cry to purge some of the pain/hurt in order to help. The saying goes that one feels better after a good cry...

No offense but I don't want you to model yourself after your father for the known reasons. There are positives yet....

Holding in the pain and the problems is self-destructive...it'll cut you up inside...don't cap the jar, Brian. Pick someone (who understands you) to talk to about it to let it out...putting on a good face will only work for so long...til it becomes too overwhelming....I'm sorry.

look at the picture you used, do you think he is allowed to cry?

becoming my father is the last thing I want to do.

In the episode capture in my picture....Fred is dying and all Wesley can do is hold her in the extreme agony/pain she's in...and for the most part of it...he is trying to stay strong...trying not to cry in front of her...but he ends up breaking down and weeping....at the thought that his soul mate...the only he's loved since he laid eyes was going to die in his arms and he couldn't do a damn thing about it. It wasn't about allowing him to cry...he did cry (then again, there after he went out and killed/stabbed anyone who was linked with her death, but that was the plot).

I agree...i don't want you to become like your father....chart a new course, you'll find your way.

If I pop the collar on the pink shirt does that make it more manly?

or just more douchebag?

It's all right to cry. I do it all the time, but then again, I'm not exactly the most masculine or mature person.

Even so, you'll feel better.

Just.. let it out, ya know?

it's one thing to say it, it's another all thing when I physically can't unless I have a friend in a casket.

Anger, when allowed to simmer in someone, becomes rage. Either way, it *will* come out sooner or later. It's just how much damage it does on the way out. Old phrase, the man who does not bend will, eventually, break.

When was the last time you got out of the "routine"? I'm in a mood to paste faces myself.

anger I have no issues releasing in small controlled peaceful manners. It's everything else that gets overwhelming.

I did manage to get out to play a few weekends ago, right before the excitement with the car in ditch and the (supprizingly non hospitalizing) accident on the way to retrieve said car days later after the state of Iowa decided to let tow trucks pull cars. however I could use another go...but with the weather not getting above freezing until next week, I have a feeling trying to go this weekend would do more harm than good. All the equipment issues with sub freezing temps (we don't all own mags you know) and the cold wet conditions...I could do without the flu.

Maybe when it gets a little warmer.
