Since everyone local is at Crown...

So, tell me already--I'm dying to know!  Who won?

The sign-in ended an hour ago, so they're probably just finishing the procession. I think it's going to be a little while. :-)

Whereas here, it's 7 PM and I'm thinking that there are surely results by now. :-P

Hee! I knew it was a time zone issue. Same thing happened when I was in Kuwait.

Not me - I'm home making D a prince/princess crown (she can't decide which to be, but she's going to wear a dress, so who knows), and then O is carving the pumpkin with them.

No way could I take Halloween from my kids! :)

I hear ya! I'm sure lots of families with kids won't be there...though I never think of Crown as a young kids' event anyhow.

I don't think I would bring my kids to Crown - last thing I need is for one of them to distract a bout!

If someone is fighting for their coparent though, unless they get a babysitter, I can't see how NOT to bring them!

From etherial, posted a little after 4:30:

Sir Edward over Count Griffith and Duke Lucan over Duke Gregor in the semi-finals. Edward and Meggie are Prince and Princess of the East!

Yep. And it was a very fine final. The semi-finals were pretty good too. That was all I saw as I was on gate.

TRH Edward and Meggie were still slightly gobsmacked when they came into court afterward and pledged fealty. I was catching paperwork for Malcolm who was herald, so I got the good view of the proceedings.

Weather was OK -- very windy. Drizzly at times, but quite warm.

Edward and Meggie are definitely gobsmacked. As are their respective spouses, especially Cassandra, who needed to sit down after Edward's fight with Gregor. That was the fight that made *me* start getting nervous, and I only live down the street from their highnesses!

Meggie's lord, Genghis John, was the very nice man who spent all day driving dayboard up and down the hill, stopping to give parking and gate food.

Oh, and Cassandra was head of dayboard. They cook fabulous food!
