I'm pretty stiff today. The pain is mostly gone from my legs but my upper torso is sore as hell. Nonetheless, I'm off to Wake Tech campus to see about getting in on my first collegiate competition. Still feeling the effects of my first core training class last night. I'm told that going by history, I have a worse day ahead of me tomorrow.

More school stuff
So it seems that the secretary who handles all the records at the Catholic school I went to remembers me. She's been there over 40 years now. Interestingly enough, this is the school where I was the incorrigible "bad boy," always in trouble for something (some things I didn't even do!) and generally being a troublemaker and bad influence. You know how in high school, adults kept talking about your "permanent record, a record that will follow you the rest of your life?" Turns out that not only does it not actually follow you, but tracking it all down can be a real pill. -
I would imagine that this is the moment of ultimate payoff cosplayers must dream of:

And yes, I totally giggled and thought of structurefall when I heard of this. -

Troubles ahead for LJ?
I've always tried to avoid the silly handwringing drama that surrounds every tiny move that Livejournal or its various parent companies have taken over time, but this looks like, if true, it could be the Big One.

Happy 2009, people. In all honesty, 2008 wasn't really so bad for me, in fact it went pretty well. But I certainly hope 2009 is better for my friends than the last year's been.
