On bird or fish or dainty beast.
Alas, this meal is far too tame;

"Impressive", jaunty knight loudly mutters,
Never open, pressing quickly, rushing steadily
Toward ultimate victory.

Your iambic pentameter doesn't scan properly. Princess is a trochee, not an iamb. Pickles slops over an extra syllable, as does To pour and libation. Line six has six feet (not all iambs), while lines seven and nine (each with six feet) are all iambic. Sorry to be such a bore.

The Princess packed a picnic basket plump
with plum-filled pastries, peppered cheese, thin-sliced
pastrami, pickles, pumpernickel bread.
From pantry then to Frigidaire she turned
and plucked a pitcher redolent of peach
to complement the pasta in whose sauce
played wee pimento pieces like small pups
who frolic in the park. The perfect end
of such repast, the pinwheel popsicles.
Perchance, if you politely her should ask,
she might permit you on her plushy bed
piled high with pillows perch and so partake.
