Professor retiring as I am looking for work!
It looks like my professor had a very nice gathering of people at her retirement reception. I don't know if this will happen for me, as I am just now getting to the end of two years of study as a grad student. I will be "hooded" and graduate soon. Literary Festival, Son in big City, Still things to do before graduation

In the home stretch, hearing native american woman, lit festival
I am in the home stretch as far as finishing my semester goes. I was in a panic about the danged federal income tax (the first year husband has retirement income, which doesn't seem to be taxed), but I have deductions for income and our son Daniel, who just recently moved to Pittsburgh. Appalachian Studies Conference, gold mining, passed Master's exams
Well, I just got out of my Master's Comp exam "orals" and I passed!
Yes--- for an English major, and probably many others, you have to either write for 6 hours in a room by yourself on what you studied, or you do your "exam" at home: you discuss a topic with your professor on a 3 person committee consisting of these three professors you pick ( Read more... ) -
Saw oncologist, said bye to son, big Master's Comp to do this sun-mon
Well, this has been "some" spring break. The beginning of it husband Fran left with son Daniel -- he has left the building, he has left home, for good it seems :(.
