Mistake in class, superstition, sister, etc

the grad student -- not many in library, getting busy
This is the time of the school year when things start to get really busy, even as I am sitting in a half empty college library at 10 p.m. at night. I am supposed to be studying for my 5 chapter (ee-gads) environmental biology test. I have done so a little already, but will continue till probably 11:30, as I have a lot to memorize. Returning Grad student wins writing contest, etc.
Last weekend I may or may not have mentioned our seeing these very "white" Indians dance at a heritage festival at the local park, which was interesting. And I helped judge a horror story contest and my entry (of course, I couldn't judge mine but others did) won for most humorous entry! The returning graduate student -- big talkers in class, winning horror story
It was actually fun getting with a few English club members on Saturday and reading entries to our "horror" writing contest. The ever returning student blues --- printing money at the library
This semester, our university had the cockamamie (sp?) idea of not only not letting us bring cheap typing paper from places like Walmart to the school library to add to our printing account, but they upped the price. There is a lot to think about when you are an English grad student-- should you get an M.A. or an M. S., should you do some outside writing other than your papers, can you have a life?
