I feel your pain. Because my teeth are slightly misaligned, no matter how careful I am, every few months I get lazy and before you know it my tongue has gotten caught in mid-chew and sliced open. Lots of blood and pain, and it is seriously annoying when it happens at the start of a $$$ meal (last time it was at Olive Garden; I didn't even get through the salad). You never realize how much you move your mouth until you can't, because it hurts!

**waves of sympathy**

Oh god, yeah! I feel your pain, teeth are so sharp!
When I got back from the dentist, the first month or so I kept accidentally knocking my teeth together. The fillings, I guess, made my teeth taller than I was used to. They still don't fit together right, but I don't notice anymore.

I know you don't want advice but I get a split lip mainly due to cold sores, I find using neosporin makes the scabs a bit softer so less likely to just rip apart.

IDK, I feel like they come off easier when they are soft...

At least when you complain here your mouth isn't moving. ;0)

I know, right? So all I need to do is stay home alone on the internet for a few days and let myself heal.

That's not very likely...

Liquid bandage, maybe? I tried it on blisters early in my derby career. I'm not really certain how or if it's different from superglue.

Oh, never use that stuff under your nose, it's fumes are horrible! I tried that once, years ago, and vomited from the fumes. Then I took it off and was still sick and smelling the fumes for hours. Ever since then I can't even use it on other parts of my body because it's like a learned aversion to that smell.

It seemed like such a good idea at the time, though!

If this is the grossest thing you encounter, you're doing good.

I don't have this problem, but I am plagued with biting the inside of my mouth. Many similarities. Except it never scabs over. Lots of fun when biting the same spot again before it has healed; often within minutes.

Ouch!
It's the grossest think for a bit now, so yeah, doing well.

I did consider writing "doing well" in my original comment, because, well, it is correct. I opted, instead, for folksy this time, for effect. As a comedian, I'm sure you understand.

I do encourage the doing of good, but I am aware that it is not specifically encouraged by that particular circumstance. Nor is it discouraged by it.

I then proceeded to analyze the joke. I have spared you much.

Beep.
