OMG YOUR SONG. Side 4 of All Things Must Pass = wonderful.

Also, yeah, unintentionally faked? I'd hazard a guess that it was probably also very shitty. Methinks the compliment may have been sarcastic. "Oh, nice accent, by the way~."

Uh. You know I have to friend you now, right? :D

"unintentional fakery" straight-up seems like an oxymoron to me, ya know? Cause faking something implies that you KNOW you don't have whatever it is to begin with and... maybe I overthink this.

Uh. You know I have to do the celebratory wave now, right? \o\

No, I totally agree. I think the secret-maker just...underthought it. They didn't notice how stupid it was. JUST LIKE THEY DIDN'T NOTICE THEIR SEXY ENGLISH ACCENT. WHAT A SEXY ACCIDENT THAT WAS.

YAYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEE! ...wait, it has 4 sides? Do y'all have it on ::gasp:: vinyl?

I have heard tell of people developing accents without noticing, but I take such accounts with a grain of salt as their sources are just never reliable, are they?

So their speech must have been off something fierce that day, or they were talking to someone with a different accent. Or maybe I should stop trying to make sense of this and just point and laugh. And squee over The Beatles.

AAAAAAAAAA RINGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Eh. Maybe I have just not spent enough time around people with different accents for it to MAGICALLY CHANGE MY SPEECH PATTERNS WITHOUT MY REALIZING IT. But I lived in England for two weeks! Damn it!

Yeah, let's squee over the Beatles instead. UNFGEORGEUNF

i lived in new orleans for several months and i slip into a southern accent every so often without meaning to. i also have a very italian family and when i talk about something italian (like describing a recipe or food in general) i tend to slip into an italian accent. it happens.

I have picked up other phrases/mannerisms/"accents" without meaning to. But I actually have studied them as an actor/theatre student. And I totally know when I've done it. But I don't mean to do it. ... If that makes sense. :P

My relatives are from north Jersey and I always start to pick up the accent... that usually takes a few days though.

Why would (he?) compliment (her?) (I'm making lameness-based assumptions) on her accent if everyone around her had the same one and she just picked it up? When someone fakes an accent, my first response is "you are needy and desperate for attention." Maybe her desperation is so subconscious that she faked the accent without realizing it BUT I DOUBT IT.

Also: this may not be relevant to this instance in particular, but I just have to say: IF YOU ARE AMERICAN AND YOU FAKE A BRITISH ACCENT, IT NEVER EVER EVER EVER SOUNDS AS GOOD AS YOU THINK IT SOUNDS.
