Especially if they live in L.A, there seems to be a mentality here with a lot of people that if you spend a certain amount on food or drinks or whatever, the tip is included in that price. "I just paid $13, I shouldn't have to leave a tip on top of that."

Like the different tones in "Have a nice day!" Cashiers and nice people can hear the difference. People with sticks up their asses don't even hear the words.

There have to be some places where it's encouraged if not required for baristas to address customers like this, I would think. I know other customer service related jobs certainly do.
