Lasik

Time for "lens free living" tomorrow as I go in for iLasik surgery on both eyes.  I'm both excited and cautiously optimistic.  Employ a superstition and wish me luck!

The surgery was a success! The iLasik procedure was performed on both of my eyes after 2pm yesterday, and at this morning's followup exam, I tested with 20/15 vision (better than 20/20). I could easily ready the very lowest line on their eye charts ( ... )

It was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I had both eyes done at Teplick Custom Vision (www.oregonlaser.com) for $3500 (normally $2000 per eye). It eliminated the astigmatism in both eyes and gave me 20/15 vision (I can see further than people with 20/20 vision). There was a bit of a tradeoff in that I used to have exceptional close-up vision. Now I need to hold things further away than before the Lasik, but I can read fine print at arm's length ( ... )
