Random Thoughts
- STILL NO RAT. I am declaring victory. (Cleanup still to come....)
- Got to herd elders at work again today. Was slightly less stressful than last time (the group was half the size, and the AC was working).
- Had a real humdinger of a thunderstorm yesterday. Some places got 1 1/2 inches of rain in an hour. Supposed to get more today. I hope I'm not ( Read more... )

For those asking...
...I work at a small historic house museum. I am the only full-time employee, and our pool of volunteers is dwindling. It's tough. About seven years ago, I went from being the director's assistant to the one who does it all. About three years ago, they added "bookkeeper" to the list, against my protestations. Well, I guess the break from the heat ends today. It's supposed to be hot and humid again tomorrow, which is a shame, because this week has been glorious, in my opinion. Ramblings On A Cold Evening
Well, it seems like winter still isn't done with the Northeast, even though the vernal equinox was last week. Yesterday and today we had flurries and temps that were lucky to reach 35°F. Had to get up early today because I'm getting a tooth filled....for the THIRD time in as many months. (I guess that's what happens when you don't see the dentist in almost a decade.) Sick Day
Only worked half a day today thanks to some sort of virus. Came home and went straight to bed and let the cat keep watch over me while I slept. It was lovely, except for her need to lay across my neck the whole time. (Trying to choke the illness out, maybe?) It hit about 50 degrees today, but I was shivering and stayed covered up all day.
