I did not escape, and indeed I am less than popular with the Aurors, though I think more on my own merits than those of my parents or Draco. I'm much better than I was - Perry brought me some healing potions and the bruising is going down.

Words cannot adequately express my frustrated outrage at this situation. The Dark Lord, himself, did not randomly abuse his followers for no reason. Much. That 'officers of the peace' should behave so barbarically, toward women, especially, offends whatever exists of my sensibilities.
If you need a solicitor, I know of a very able one. Then again, you probably have better contacts in that regard than anything I might recommend.

Revolting flavour is not my trademark, child. Efficacy is. I assure you, were you to drink the fruit-flavoured swill available in any apothecary, your recovery would take far longer - and your ailment be exacerbated by the rubbish used to sweeten the brew which spoils the potion.

Such things are always better left away from tangible medium. I must admit my curiosity to be piqued. I advise my usual caution, and remind you of earlier offers of assistance conversations.

The only question is time - I do not know how much your natural regenerative abilities will be enhanced by the salve you have been using, to speed Ginevra's reconstructive work.
You might want to speak with the Misters Weasley - they have many contacts of the 'magical device' variety. It is time to begin looking into the mundane details of acquiring functional prosthetics.
If they spin wildly like Alastor Moody's, or a ridiculous colour not found in nature, I shall be most disappointed.

I have recently learnt that some of my potions found their way to Miss Parkinson. Allow me to express appreciation that you would extend assistance to a former Housemate, as I surely would have done so myself had I known she was in need, or been in a position to do so. Needless to say, I have my hands full, here, with children receiving scarcely more gentle attention than you did.
I do find myself idly curious as to how it came that you knew she was in need, but I will not pry. I was not aware that you were in correspondence with one another, but I admit it heartens me to see my former students supporting each other even after all which we have endured. Well done.

Oh, yes, Mr Derrick, they are abusing children. Not so much physically - wrist burns from too-tight restraints is the worst I have seen among them. But they are definitely being traumatised. My best student pulled a Longbottom in class recently, and I'm having a spate of sleeplessness and night-terrors the likes of which I have not seen since very early in the war.
As for the Headmistress, she is in scarcely less of a temper than I am, myself - I find I tolerate her best that way - and has spent hours each day at the Ministry doing gods-knows-what. She barely returns in time for meals, in a red-faced fury. Our solicitor has now been joined by his entire firm, representing Hogwarts, and numerous parents of the children in question have added their strong-arm-tactics to the mix.
Nonetheless, two more children were retrieved for 'appointments' this morning, and Minerva has already followed them.
I must admit, the title the Ministry seems determined to thrust upon me is beginning to have some appeal. The Dark Lord and Ministry

I am working on a Silver-specific Chelation potion. It is a long-shot. I have no way to test it until such point when it is truly needed, and then, if it is not effective, the silver poison will complete its purpose. Chelation in general is a simple enough process. Whether the potion could work fast enough to remove the silver poison before death ensued...
Just make bloody damn sure you don't get poisoned to begin with!! I might be the best Potions Master in the United Kingdom, but I am no miracle worker, and have quite enough to do at the moment as it is

Severus, let's face facts, this is the Werewolf Capture Unit we're discussing. Frankly, I'm surprised I was the only one to come out of it with silver burns and those at the hands of an upstart only a couple years out of training with a grudge. I have never known the WCU to be gentle and this was one of my better interviews with them. Nor, may I remind you, was Nevin's grudge against you.
While I am grateful that you seem to have been able to come to terms with our condition, I think you highly over-estimate the general populace's tolerance of it. Do you honestly think things would have been any different for us were we not to live with you? The Aurors are not being equipped with silver to combat our pack alone, Severus. They're after any werewolf. Being a werewolf has always been one step above a crime to exist at the very best -- Or have you forgotten the laws that were in place when we were students and Sirius' stupid prank could have meant a death sentence for me even though you were not injured

I'd hardly call my experience 'unpleasant.' It was beyond unpleasant. Far, far, and eons beyond. The questions they asked, prying not only into my life but also those of everyone around me; they were insulting, but did I object to even a single one of them? No, I decided to play the good citizen and answered every last one the best I could. What did I get in return for my efforts and my patience? A Malfoy-hater who thinks he knows me so well, that's what! And my 'association with Potter' didn't help in the least, not that I expected anything of the sort.
