Okay. Okay. First things first. Rip my heart out and stomp around on it, will ya. At first I was ready to blame Sungmin's absence on Kyuhyun's little alcohol problem that clearly went far enough to cause some nice memory blanks, but goddamn, that's obviously more of a sympton than a cause. ;A; And since you so caringly wrote in that line about Sungmin almost killing himself while crossing streets when he's distracted, my mind helpfully supplied that image at the end of this, only without the crucial little "almost." D:

I don't know what's bugging me more, the fact that we never exactly know why things got as bad as they did or the fact that Kyuhyun has trouble even remembering the good, or the bad, the together. :/ That's even worse because your Sungmin is amazing and perfect and I really don't want him to suffer but it's a little too late for that and now pityful Kyuhyun doesn't even manage to pull his act together long enough to honor Sungmin's memory since he's apparently too busy drinking it away. every time you hinted at his lack of time perception there was a little prod at the back of my brain, something nagging and insisting that i'd missed a crucial point that you were trying to get across ... i guess i wasn't wrong ;(

i loved the 'neat mess' of kyu's mind as he tried to make sense of what he was trying to pin down - it's like he's trying to finish a puzzle but that one piece is missing but he doesn't know what it is. at the same time a part of him also seems to be refusing to look for that piece because he doesn't want to find it and deal with the weight of knowledge that would come with it. if that made sense. >.>

anyway, i loved reading this ~as always~ <3 it was a pleasure to read :)
