Those who know me well will know I'm a hard core Gleek, and like most in my fandom I was shocked and saddened by the death of Cory Monteith. Though Finn has never been my favorite character (far from it), I had warmed to Cory in recent years as he continued to take me by surprise with his talent, both in music and in acting.

I adored Cory. Adored him. I could never understand how many fans of the show didn't see his talent as an actor. He was a wonderful human being too, and I will be forever heartbroken that he never had the chance to grow old and boring. Fuck all the nonsense about dying young and beautiful (which he was).

I can't stop crying and I keep hoping I'll wake up tomorrow and it was just a bad dream.

I think many did notice his talents, but as is the norm in this fandom, it's the negativity that seems to come through loudest.

I'm devastated by his death and have been upset since I heard the news. Poor Lea. She must be shocked out of her mind. Caught up on the Wedding/Valentines ep yesterday where that last pic is from and just shook my head in disbelief. Such a waste.

My heart breaks for Lea, and I worry for her. It's one thing to cope with this tragedy in your personal life, but to have to face it again at work too... That's going to be a difficult task.

I'm still not over the shock of this.

When I think I'm good, and I can scroll tumblr without tearing up, another Cory picture or gifset pops up. I never liked Finn, but Cory was so charismatic. It's so sad that we'll never get to see his smile or hear his voice again.

Also. Please don't let it be a drug overdose. He was trying so hard to stay clean.

I'm hoping the same thing, I really didn't think his addiction was as serious as it seems now when he went into rehab this year, but time will tell.

It's amazing how unified the fandom is right now considering how toxic it usually is. At least some good has come from this tragedy.

Steph I thought of you and a good colleague from work when I heard as you both are Glee fans. It is a awful loss of a young life.
