I've experienced something very similar and the pain was the worst I have ever had. I've never had children so I can't compare. I felt like someone had reached into my back and was squeezing my kidney. After throwing up it passed. It's happened twice now and I hope that I never experience it again.
You definitely have my sympathy.

Ugh. I had a teeeeeeeeeensy little kidney stone once and it hurt so bad that I was crying. I had to leave work to go to emergency, where it passed on its own. If that's what childbirth is like than I'm even more superglad that I never had kids!

Hope you are feeling 100% soon!

Owww!

I've had a kidney stone, but they caught it before it passed and I had
it "blasted" with a laser. That was also very painful, but not as much
as passing the thing.

Did they catch the thing to "examine" it?

Take it easy! I hope they gave you some good meds!
